Domestic flights in the Philippines: airports, airlines and baggage
Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia fly the jet routes from Manila's NAIA and from Cebu. Since 29 March 2026, the turboprop flights to El Nido, Coron (Busuanga), Siargao, Masbate, Naga and San Jose in Mindoro leave from Clark, not NAIA, and since 1 July 2026 AirSWIFT's flights are run by Cebgo and sold under Cebu Pacific. Cebu Pacific's GO Basic fare includes no checked bag.
Which Philippine airport flies where
Where the island airports fly, September 2026:
- Siargao (Sayak, IAO): Cebu, Clark and Davao. Nothing from NAIA and no international flights.
- El Nido (Lio, ENI): Cebgo only, from Clark, Cebu, Caticlan, Busuanga and Tagbilaran.
- Coron (Busuanga, USU): Clark and Cebu (Cebgo, Philippine Airlines and Sunlight Air), and El Nido (Cebgo).
- Boracay (Caticlan, MPH): Manila (Philippine Airlines and AirAsia), Clark (Sunlight Air and Philippine Airlines) and Cebu. Kalibo (KLO) has Manila (AirAsia and Cebu Pacific) and Seoul (Tway Air).
- Puerto Princesa (PPS): Manila and Cebu (Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines), Davao and Iloilo (Cebu Pacific).
- Bohol-Panglao (TAG): Manila, Davao, El Nido and Iloilo, and Seoul and Busan. No nonstop flight from Cebu.
- Siquijor: Sunlight Air from Cebu on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in early October 2026, about 55 minutes.
- Davao (DVO): Manila, Cebu and ten other Philippine cities, plus Singapore (Scoot) and Doha (Qatar Airways), with Cebu Pacific's Hong Kong and Bangkok Don Mueang flights back from 25 and 26 October 2026.
NAIA terminals. Philippine Airlines flies international from Terminal 1 and domestic from Terminal 2. Cebu Pacific uses Terminal 3. AirAsia Philippines has flown international from Terminal 1 and domestic from Terminal 2 since 29 March 2026.
Why Clark. Under a Department of Transportation decision to decongest NAIA, all turboprop operations moved to Clark on 29 March 2026. Caticlan is not on Cebu Pacific's list of affected destinations and is still served from NAIA.
Cebu Pacific baggage, Grab at the airport and getting to Clark
Baggage on Cebu Pacific. The GO Basic fare includes no checked baggage; GO Easy and GO Flexi include one checked piece of 20 kg. The hand-carry bag must fit 56 × 36 × 23 cm, with a personal item under the seat. Sports equipment is not covered by the checked allowance and is bought separately. Sunlight Air's fares include a 7 kg carry-on.
Getting to Clark from Manila. Genesis runs P2P buses to Clark International Airport from NAIA Terminal 3, PITX, Trinoma and its Cubao terminal, at roughly ₱310 to ₱520 depending on origin and class, taking two to three hours. At Clark they use the Terminal 2 arrival area.
Grab at the airports. Grab's own airport pages give its pickup points: at NAIA Terminal 1 the Grab booth and arrival bays A to C, with a Makati ride quoted at about ₱300 to ₱500 and 40 minutes; at Mactan-Cebu, arrival bays A to D or the North Wing drop-off at Terminal 1 and the South Wing drop-off at Terminal 2; at Clark, Bay 8 outside arrivals, with about ₱250 to ₱350 to Angeles City. At NAIA Terminal 3, 2025 and 2026 guides put the Grab pickup at the multilevel car park, Level A, near Gate 7, where Grab staff run the queue.
Philippines entry rules 2026: visa-free days and eTravel
Visa-free stay. Under Executive Order 408, as amended, nationals of visa-exempt countries are admitted for an initial 30 days. You can extend with a 29-day visa waiver at a Bureau of Immigration office, then apply for further one-, two- or six-month extensions. Check whether your nationality is on the visa-exempt list before you book.
eTravel. Arriving and departing passengers register on the government's eTravel system, at etravel.gov.ph or in the eGovPH app. It is free. The Bureau of Immigration has repeatedly warned, again during Holy Week 2026, about fake eTravel websites that charge a fee: if a site asks you to pay, it is not the official one.
At the counter. 2026 entry guides agree that airlines and immigration can ask for a passport valid for six months beyond your stay and for a return or onward ticket, so have both ready at check-in.
The airport is not the destination. From Sayak, General Luna is 45 minutes to an hour by van. From Lio, El Nido town is 15 to 20 minutes by tricycle. From Busuanga, Coron town is 30 to 45 minutes. From Caticlan, the Boracay jetty is five to ten minutes, and from Kalibo an hour and twenty minutes to an hour and a half. The destination pages carry the fares for each.

Why does my El Nido or Siargao flight leave from Clark?
Because all turboprop flights left NAIA on 29 March 2026. Cebu Pacific's list of affected destinations is Coron (Busuanga), El Nido, Masbate, Naga, San Jose in Mindoro and Siargao.
How do I get from Manila to Clark airport?
By Genesis P2P bus from NAIA Terminal 3, PITX, Trinoma or Cubao, roughly ₱310 to ₱520 and two to three hours, arriving at Clark's Terminal 2 arrival area.
What happened to AirSWIFT?
Its flights have been operated by Cebgo since 1 July 2026, with the T6 flight code replaced by DG and schedules and aircraft unchanged. They are sold under Cebu Pacific.
Does Cebu Pacific's cheapest fare include a checked bag?
No. GO Basic includes only hand-carry. GO Easy and GO Flexi include one 20 kg checked bag.

Can I fly from Cebu to Bohol?
