Take the overnight bus. Ohayami Trans leaves its Sampaloc terminal in Manila at 22:00, and Coda Lines leaves the HM Transport terminal in Cubao, Quezon City, in the evening. Both reach Banaue early the next morning, about eight to nine hours later.

Ohayami Sampaloc and Coda Lines Cubao terminals
The two companies do not share a terminal, and one is in Manila while the other is in Quezon City, so check which one your ticket is for before you set off.
Ohayami Trans leaves from its own terminal at the corner of Fajardo Street and Lacson Avenue in Sampaloc, Manila. The terminal number is 0905 267 2171.
Coda Lines leaves from the HM Transport terminal on Monte de Piedad Street at the corner of Maryland Street, Barangay Immaculate Concepcion, in Cubao, Quezon City.
There is one bus a night from Sampaloc to Banaue. Leave plenty of time to cross the city.
Banaue bus arrival times and stops
Coda Lines' evening buses are timed to reach Banaue around 04:00 and 05:00, and Ohayami's 22:00 bus also arrives early in the morning, so you step off in the dark or at first light.
Ohayami has a ticketing office in Banaue's town proper and a bus terminal on the Nueva Vizcaya–Ifugao–Mountain Province Road, both reachable on 0905 881 4361. Coda Lines stops below the Tourist Information Center and uses the Tourism Office as its waiting area.
If your accommodation won't let you check in at five in the morning, ask about leaving your bags before you travel.
Booking Ohayami and Coda Lines tickets
Ohayami sells seats on its own website: pick the date, the trip and your seats, add your details and pay. The confirmation comes by text message and the ticket voucher by email.
Coda Lines sells some trips online and adds more in peak season. Student, senior citizen and PWD discounts are only sold at its terminal ticket booths, where the ID can be checked.
The coaches on both lines are air-conditioned for the whole night. Pack a jacket in your hand luggage, not in the hold.
Banaue to Manila bus
The buses back leave Banaue in the late afternoon and early evening. Ohayami Trans departs at 18:00 for Sampaloc, and Coda Lines runs evening buses to Cubao, on 7 October 2026 at 16:30 and 17:30. Expect to reach Metro Manila in the small hours.

Where to catch the bus in Banaue
Board where you got off. Ohayami's buses leave from its Banaue terminal on the main road, with tickets also sold at its office in the town proper. Coda Lines picks up below the Tourist Information Center.
Seats are sold per trip and Ohayami runs one bus a night, so buy the ticket back at the same time as the one up.
Banaue bus arrival in Sampaloc and Cubao
Ohayami ends at its Sampaloc terminal in Manila. Coda Lines ends at the HM Transport terminal in Cubao, Quezon City. Both arrive well after midnight, so decide in advance how you are getting from the terminal to where you are sleeping.
Banaue bus before a flight from Manila
A night bus that arrives at one or two in the morning looks as if it leaves the whole next day free for a flight. It leaves less than that. Any delay leaving Banaue is carried all the way down, so keep the flight for the afternoon or the next day.
Ohayami Trans vs Coda Lines to Banaue
Banaue has no airport and no railway. The road up from Manila goes north through Nueva Vizcaya and climbs into Ifugao, and the overnight bus is the scheduled way to make the trip.
Ohayami Trans is the Banaue specialist. Its whole network is Manila, Baguio and Ifugao: one bus a night from Manila to Banaue, two more to Lagawe, and a Baguio link. The coach is a 49-seater with reclining seats in a 2x2 layout and charging ports.
Coda Lines runs further. From its Cubao terminal it serves Banaue, Lagawe and Kiangan in Ifugao, Solano and Aritao in Nueva Vizcaya, and Bontoc and Sagada in Mountain Province. On the Banaue run it uses two coaches: a 45-seater without a toilet and a 35-seater with one.
Pick by terminal first. If you are staying in Manila near Sampaloc, Ohayami is closer. If you are in Quezon City, Cubao is the easier trip. After that, check which coach has the toilet on board: on a nine-hour night it matters.

Manila to Banaue bus fare and refunds
Ohayami Trans sold Manila to Banaue and Banaue to Manila at ₱740 each way on its own booking system in September 2026, Manila to Lagawe at ₱680 and Baguio to Banaue at ₱700. Seats on the one nightly bus go: on 23 September 2026 the 18:00 from Banaue had three left on the day.
Coda Lines prices by coach. For 7 October 2026 its own booking site sold the 20:00, a 45-seater without a toilet, at ₱814, and the 21:00, a 35-seater with one, at ₱924, the same both ways.
Coda Lines shows the price when you choose a date and a trip, and its two Banaue coaches are priced differently, the 35-seater with a toilet costing more than the 45-seater without.
Ohayami's refund rules are strict. A refund is only possible up to the day before the trip, and it costs half the ticket. On the day of travel there is no refund for any reason. You can only rebook or take an open ticket, and the request has to reach the company at least three hours before departure. A rebooking can only be used once.
Discounts for students, senior citizens and PWD are sold at Coda Lines' terminal booths, not online.
Banaue to Sagada, Lagawe, Kiangan and Baguio
Lagawe and Kiangan. Ohayami runs Sampaloc to Lagawe, the provincial capital, at 21:30 and 22:30, and back at 18:30. Coda Lines stops at Lagawe beside the Landbank and at Kiangan.
Sagada and Bontoc. Coda Lines continues past the Ifugao stops to Bontoc Circle and Sagada Poblacion in Mountain Province. If Sagada is your next stop, travelling on Coda from Manila keeps it to one company.
Baguio. Ohayami links Banaue and Baguio in both directions: Baguio to Banaue at 19:30, from its terminal on Governor Pack Road near SM Baguio, and Banaue to Baguio at 17:00. That turns Banaue into part of a loop through the Cordillera rather than an out-and-back trip.
Banaue to Manila bus delays
The timetable is the best case for a night road through the mountains. A bus that leaves Banaue late in the afternoon carries that delay all the way to Metro Manila, which matters most on the way back.

In 2026 several passengers on Coda Lines' Banaue to Quezon City bus said it left Banaue about an hour late and reached Cubao more than two hours late, and one missed a flight. Call the company's Banaue office on the afternoon you travel.
Is the overnight bus to Banaue cold?
Take a jacket onto the bus. Both companies run fully air-conditioned coaches through the night.
Passengers on both Ohayami and Coda Lines in 2025 and 2026 described the air-conditioning as very cold, and Ohayami passengers mentioned two or three toilet stops along the way. Ask at the terminal whether your coach has a toilet on board.
Can I go from Banaue to Sagada by bus?
Coda Lines serves both Banaue and Sagada, with a station in Sagada Poblacion. Ask at its Banaue stop for the current connection before you plan around it.
Does GV Florida have a bus from Manila to Banaue?
Its own schedule page, which carries no date, lists buses signed Banaue, Ifugao / Bagabag from its Manila terminals. None were sold online for 7 October 2026, when only Ohayami Trans and Coda Lines were, so ask at the GV Florida terminal whether the bus runs all the way to Banaue or ends at Bagabag.
