Fly to Sayak airport in Del Carmen: nonstop flights come from Cebu, Clark and Davao, not from Manila's NAIA. By sea, take a fastcraft from Surigao City to Dapa port, about an hour and a half to two hours. From the airport, a shared van to General Luna costs around ₱350 to ₱400 and takes 45 minutes to an hour.

Flights and ferries to Siargao
By air. Sayak airport takes nonstop flights from Cebu, Clark and Davao. Cebu has the most choice: for 7 October 2026, Sunlight Air was on sale at 06:20 and Philippine Airlines at 07:05, 08:35 and 12:45, each about an hour.
By sea. Almost every boat to Siargao crosses from Surigao City to Dapa port. Evaristo and Sons runs fastcraft in about an hour and a half, posting its timetable week by week; Romans Road Shipping Lines, Vince Gabriel Liner, JP Shipping Lines and Siargao Adventures run crossings of about two hours. From Cebu, the overnight Starlite ferry to Surigao connects with the morning boats, and OceanJet's daytime fast craft with the afternoon ones. 2GO also lists a weekly ship from Manila to Siargao.
Flying to Surigao instead. Surigao City runs a free shuttle from its airport to the Eva Macapagal Passenger Terminal, where the boats to Dapa leave, for passengers arriving on a flight from Cebu who have a booking at a registered Siargao resort. Show your flight itinerary and the resort confirmation at the Tourist Assistance Desk in arrivals. The shuttle meets every scheduled flight and makes no other stops.

Sayak Airport (IAO) is in Del Carmen, not in General Luna. In 2026 its nonstop flights go to Cebu, Clark and Davao, and nowhere outside the Philippines.
From Cebu, Sunlight Air has flown daily since March 2026, and Philippine Airlines and Cebgo fly the route too. From the capital region the flights leave from Clark, not from NAIA, since 29 March 2026.
Shared vans to General Luna wait outside arrivals and leave when full, at around ₱350 to ₱400 a person in 2026 listings, and take 45 minutes to an hour. A private van is around ₱2,500, and a motorbike taxi (habal-habal) around ₱350.
Siargao airport and Dapa port to General Luna
From Sayak airport. Shared vans to General Luna wait outside arrivals and leave when they fill, at around ₱350 to ₱400 a person, according to 2026 transfer listings, and take 45 minutes to an hour. A private van runs to around ₱2,500. Some vans sold as shared cover central General Luna only, so if you are staying further out, check the drop-off before you pay.
From Dapa port. Vans and multicabs to General Luna are listed at around ₱100 to ₱150 a person in 2026, and a tricycle to yourself costs more. Book the ride before the crossing if you are arriving late in the day.
Leaving the island. For a morning flight from Cebu or Clark, or the first boats to Surigao at 06:00, stay close to the airport or Dapa the night before, or arrange the transfer in advance.
Cebu to Siargao: flights and the ferry via Surigao
Fly. Nonstop flights leave Mactan-Cebu for Sayak airport on Siargao and take about an hour: Sunlight Air has flown the route daily since March 2026, and Philippine Airlines and Cebgo fly it too. By sea it takes a day or a night: OceanJet leaves Cebu at 07:00 and reaches Surigao at 12:30, or Starlite Ferries leaves at 21:00 for an overnight crossing of about ten hours, then a fastcraft crosses to Dapa on Siargao in an hour and a half to two hours.

The flights. For 7 October 2026 four nonstop flights were on sale from Mactan-Cebu to Sayak: Sunlight Air at 06:20, landing 07:20, and Philippine Airlines at 07:05, 08:35 and 12:45 (PR2351, landing 13:40). Sunlight Air announced daily Cebu–Siargao flights from March 2026, but its times move from day to day. Cebgo, part of Cebu Pacific, also flies Cebu to Siargao.
Sayak airport is in Del Carmen. Arrange the road leg to where you are staying before you land.
The overnight ferry. No ferry sails from Cebu straight to Siargao. Starlite Ferries leaves Cebu Pier 3 at 21:00, Monday to Saturday, and reaches Surigao, on the Mindanao mainland, early the next morning; its newest ship, MV Starlite Gratitude, went on the Cebu–Surigao run in July 2026. From Surigao, fastcraft cross to Dapa port on Siargao. Booked together for 7 October 2026, the overnight ferry and the 10:00 fastcraft reached Dapa at 11:30, fourteen and a half hours after leaving Cebu.
Starlite's own rate page lists beds as well as seats, from ₱1,550 for a reclining seat and ₱1,650 for an economy bunk to ₱2,380 for a cabin, which makes the night on board your night's accommodation. Booking sites were charging ₱1,745 to ₱2,350 for the same classes for 7 October. The fastcraft from Surigao is extra.
The day ferry. OceanJet sells a fast craft from Cebu to Surigao, 07:00 to 12:30 for 7 October 2026. Its fare notice prices the route in two legs, Cebu to Maasin in Southern Leyte and Maasin to Surigao. From Surigao, Evaristo and Sons' 15:30 fastcraft reaches Dapa at 17:00, so you are on Siargao by early evening without a night on board.
Coming back. By day, a 06:00 fastcraft from Dapa connects with Starlite's 09:00 sailing from Surigao, due in Cebu at 19:00, and OceanJet leaves Surigao at 13:00, due in Cebu at 18:30. Starlite also sails Surigao to Cebu overnight at 21:00.

Is there a free shuttle from Surigao airport to the Siargao ferry?
Yes, if you fly in from Cebu and have a booking at a registered Siargao resort. Show both at the Tourist Assistance Desk in arrivals, and the city's shuttle takes you to the Eva Macapagal Passenger Terminal for the boats to Dapa. It runs for every scheduled flight.
