Getting to and around Banaue
Banaue is reached by road only, overnight. From Baguio, Ohayami Trans leaves at 19:30 for ₱700. From Manila, Ohayami leaves Sampaloc at 22:00 and Coda Lines leaves Cubao in the evening. From Banaue, Coda Lines carries on to Bontoc and Sagada, morning vans leave for Sagada near the Tourist Information Centre, and tricycles run to the Saddle above Batad.

Baguio to Banaue, and the overnight bus from Manila
From Baguio. Ohayami Trans runs Baguio to Banaue at 19:30 for ₱700, from its terminal on Governor Pack Road near SM Baguio, and Banaue to Baguio at 17:00. It is one bus a night each way, so buy the ticket ahead.
From Manila. The overnight buses leave in the evening and arrive early the next morning: Ohayami Trans at 22:00 from Fajardo Street at Lacson Avenue in Sampaloc, and Coda Lines from the HM Transport terminal in Cubao, Quezon City. Banaue to Batad, Bontoc and Sagada
To Batad. Batad village has no road to its door. Tricycles and hired jeeps from Banaue go as far as the Saddle, where the road ends above the village, and from there it is a walk of about 20 to 30 minutes down to Batad. Some tricycles stop at Batad Junction on the main road instead, which leaves a long uphill walk to the Saddle first, so agree the Saddle as the drop-off. Guides quote tricycle prices that vary widely, so settle the fare, and whether the driver waits for the return, before you leave town.
To Bontoc and Sagada. Coda Lines' Manila buses carry on past Banaue into Mountain Province, with stations at Bontoc Circle and Sagada Poblacion, passing Banaue in the early morning. Vans to Sagada wait near the Banaue Tourist Information Centre in the morning and leave once they have enough passengers; a guide updated in July 2026 put the fare at ₱400 to ₱450, with some vans now asking ₱700. The other way is in two steps, to Bontoc, the provincial capital, and on to Sagada from there.
Back to Manila or Baguio. Ohayami leaves Banaue at 18:00 for Manila and 17:00 for Baguio, and Coda Lines was selling 16:30 and 17:30 for Cubao on 7 October 2026. Ohayami refunds only up to the day before travel, at half the fare; on the day you can only rebook or take an open ticket, requested at least three hours before departure.
