How to get to Bohol by ferry or plane
From Cebu City, take the ferry. OceanJet sails to Tagbilaran thirteen times a day in about two hours, for ₱960 since 21 September 2026. FastCat and Lite Ferries sail to Tubigon, on Bohol's north-west coast, through the day and night for under ₱550. Flights land at Bohol-Panglao airport from Manila, Davao, El Nido and Iloilo, and from Seoul and Busan.

Cebu to Bohol ferry: Tagbilaran or Tubigon port
To Tagbilaran, with OceanJet. OceanJet was selling thirteen departures a day from Cebu to Tagbilaran for October 2026, from 05:10 to 17:40, and the crossing takes about two hours. The 18:40 in its February timetable was cancelled on 16 September. Since 21 September 2026 the fare is ₱960 in Tourist or Open Air and ₱1,440 in Business, including a 10 percent fuel surcharge the company calls temporary. Tagbilaran is the port for the city and for Panglao.
To Tagbilaran, the slow way. Lite Ferries also sails Cebu to Tagbilaran at 13:00 and 22:00 from Pier 1, in about four hours, from ₱520 for a bunk without air-conditioning.
To Tubigon, with FastCat or Lite Ferries. Tubigon, on the north-west coast, is served by roll-on roll-off ferries that also carry vehicles:
Students, senior citizens and PWD get lower fares on both, and children aged three and under ride free on FastCat.
Baggage on OceanJet. Since 6 February 2026, Tourist and Open Air tickets include 10 kg and Business 20 kg. Trolley and collapsible bags have to be checked in rather than carried on, and excess is charged per kilo.
Bohol-Panglao airport flights and transfers
Bohol-Panglao International Airport (TAG)
Bohol-Panglao International Airport is on Panglao island, not in Tagbilaran. In September 2026 its nonstop flights went to Manila (AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, around 185 flights a month), Davao (Cebgo and Philippine Airlines), El Nido and Iloilo (Cebgo), and internationally to Seoul Incheon (Jeju Air and Jin Air) and Busan (Jeju Air). A Clark service was listed to start in October 2026.
There is no nonstop flight between Cebu and Panglao on that list. From Cebu, the ferry is the way.
An airport bus runs towards Alona Beach and on to Tagbilaran for about ₱50, according to 2026 visitor guides. Tricycles and cars charge per vehicle and the guides disagree widely on the price, so agree it before you set off, or book your resort's own shuttle.
Last ferry from Bohol, and boats to Siquijor and Camiguin
The last boats to Cebu. OceanJet's last Tagbilaran to Cebu departure is now 17:40: its 18:30 was cancelled on 16 September 2026 and was not on sale for October. From Tubigon, Lite Ferries leaves as late as 22:00 and FastCat at 22:30, so if you miss the 17:40, the road to Tubigon is the way back to Cebu the same night.
Onward, not back. From Tagbilaran, OceanJet sails to Siquijor twice a day and to Dumaguete once, and Lite Shipping has a night boat to Larena on Siquijor. From Jagna, on the east coast, the boats face Mindanao: Lite Ferries lists sailings to Nasipit, for Butuan, on four days a week, and Super Shuttle Ferry lists Jagna to Balbagon on Camiguin on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Bohol to Siquijor ferry: Tagbilaran to Siquijor and Larena
OceanJet sails from Tagbilaran to Siquijor twice a day, at 07:30 and 15:20, and takes about two hours. For a cheaper, slower crossing, Lite Shipping leaves Tagbilaran at 20:00 for Larena on Siquijor, about three hours.

OceanJet. Both sailings were on sale for 7 October 2026: 07:30 into Siquijor at 09:30, and 15:20 into Siquijor at 17:20. The afternoon boat is the one that connects with OceanJet's 13:00 from Cebu. Back from Siquijor, it was selling 08:20 and 14:30. OceanJet's own fare from 21 September 2026 is ₱960 in Tourist or Open Air and ₱1,440 in Business, including its temporary 10 percent fuel surcharge. Tourist tickets include 10 kg of baggage, Business 20 kg, and trolley bags go in the hold.
Lite Shipping. The 20:00 from Tagbilaran reaches Larena, not Siquijor town, at 23:00. Lite's own booking system sold it for 7 October 2026 from ₱570 for a bunk without air-conditioning. Siquijor has two ports, so check which one your accommodation is near before choosing the boat, and whether anyone can meet a boat that arrives at eleven at night.
Both leave from Tagbilaran. From Panglao, allow for the drive to the port first.
Bohol to Dumaguete ferry: OceanJet from Tagbilaran
OceanJet runs a daily sailing from Tagbilaran to Dumaguete at 10:40, arriving at 12:40, and back from Dumaguete at 07:40 and 13:00. OceanJet's own fare since 21 September 2026 is ₱1,080 in Tourist or Open Air and ₱1,680 in Business.

This is the middle leg of OceanJet's Cebu–Tagbilaran–Dumaguete connection, so the 10:40 from Tagbilaran carries passengers who boarded in Cebu at 08:20. On a busy day, book the seat rather than counting on space at the counter. The 10:40 was on sale for 7 October 2026, arriving at Dumaguete Port at 12:40. Coming back, the 07:40 from Dumaguete is cancelled until 30 September 2026, which leaves the 13:00 as the only boat until then.
With one boat a day towards Dumaguete, a cancelled sailing costs a day. Philippine Airlines sold Panglao to Dumaguete for 30 September 2026 only as a connection through another airport, taking almost four hours, so there is no quick flight to fall back on.
Siquijor on the way. Dumaguete and Siquijor are linked by six OceanJet sailings a day each way in its February 2026 timetable, at ₱420 in Tourist since 21 September, so Bohol, Siquijor and Dumaguete can be done as a loop without coming back through Cebu. Until 30 September three of those sailings are cancelled: 06:40 and 16:40 from Siquijor and 17:30 from Dumaguete.
Bohol ferry ports
Tagbilaran Port
Bohol's main passenger port, on the south-west coast at Tagbilaran, and the arrival point for fast craft from Cebu. The crossing from Cebu takes about two hours.
Tubigon Port
On Bohol's north-west coast, the shortest crossing to Cebu at roughly an hour and a half. Useful for anyone heading to northern or central Bohol rather than Tagbilaran, and served by roll-on roll-off vessels as well as fast craft.
Jagna Port
On Bohol's east coast, facing Mindanao. This is the port for Camiguin and for Nasipit in Agusan del Norte, not for Cebu.
