## Manila to Boracay by plane and boat

Fly from Manila to Caticlan, about an hour nonstop, then take the boat from the Caticlan jetty to Boracay, which takes ten to fifteen minutes. Kalibo is the other airport, an hour and twenty minutes to an hour and a half from the jetty by road.

### Which NAIA terminal for Caticlan and Kalibo flights

Flights to Caticlan and Kalibo leave from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, apart from Sunlight Air, which flies from Clark. NAIA's airline terminal assignments were reshuffled during 2026, so take the terminal from your booking rather than from a guide written before that.

### Caticlan airport to Boracay by boat

From Caticlan airport it is five to ten minutes by tricycle or shuttle to Caticlan jetty port, and the public ferry to Cagban port on Boracay takes ten to fifteen minutes.

At the jetty you pay three charges: the terminal fee, the environmental fee and the boat fare. Children aged five and under do not need a terminal pass.

### Boracay iPass: pay the jetty fees online

The three jetty charges can be paid in advance through Boracay iPass, the Province of Aklan's online system, which issues a QR code for the jetty. Children five and under are exempt from the terminal pass if proof of age is uploaded.

## Boracay to Manila

Take the boat from Boracay to the Caticlan jetty, ten to fifteen minutes, then fly from Caticlan to Manila, about an hour. From Kalibo, add an hour and twenty minutes to an hour and a half by road before the flight.

### Boracay to Caticlan or Kalibo airport

The day runs backwards from the check-in desk: the boat from Cagban, the tricycle or shuttle to the airport, and from Kalibo a road leg of an hour and twenty minutes to an hour and a half as well.

Flights from Caticlan land at NAIA, apart from Sunlight Air, which lands at Clark. Check which one before arranging anything onward from the airport.

### Boracay terminal fee on departure

Leaving Boracay you pay the terminal fee again at Cagban port, ₱150 according to 2026 visitor guides, unless it is already covered by your Boracay iPass or a prepaid transfer package.

## Boracay boats in the southwest monsoon

During the southwest monsoon, usually June to October, rough water on the western side moves the crossing from Caticlan and Cagban to Tabon port on the mainland and Tambisaan port on Boracay's eastern side. The terminal fee there is ₱100 on arrival and ₱50 on departure, and port staff and transfer companies send passengers to whichever pair is in use.

## Caticlan or Kalibo from Manila

Every trip from Manila to Boracay has the same three parts: a flight, a road leg and a boat. The only real choice is which airport, and it decides how long the road leg is.

**Caticlan** is the near airport, five to ten minutes by tricycle or shuttle from Caticlan jetty port, according to the Province of Aklan's Boracay iPass guide.

**Kalibo** is the far airport, an hour and twenty minutes to an hour and a half from the jetty by road. AirAsia and Cebu Pacific fly Manila to Kalibo, and it also takes international flights, such as Tway Air from Seoul.

Transfer companies sell the road and the boat as one ticket. Island Star Express charges ₱450 one way from Caticlan airport and ₱600 from Kalibo for an adult in 2026 when bought in its online shop, plus a fuel surcharge of ₱35 to ₱50. Its rates page lists ₱537.50 and ₱632.50 for the same trips. Its shop vouchers are open-dated and can be used up to 31 December 2026, so you can buy before you know your flight.

Without a flight, the trip is an overnight bus and ferry from Antipolo or a night boat from Batangas. Both are set out further down this page.

## Manila to Caticlan flight schedule

Manila to Caticlan is not a once-a-day route. For 7 October 2026 AirAsia was selling six nonstop flights from NAIA, at 05:45, 06:45, 09:40, 10:40, 11:10 and 12:35, and Philippine Airlines three more, at 07:35, 11:25 and 12:10, all about an hour. Cebu Pacific flies the route daily as well, with departures at 07:30 and 10:15 on sale from 24 September. AirAsia and Cebu Pacific also fly Manila to Kalibo.

## Boracay terminal fee, environmental fee and boat fare

Whatever you pay for the flight, there are three separate charges at the Caticlan jetty before you can cross. Visitor guides updated in 2026 agree on the amounts, and a transfer company's prepaid fee packages match them:
- **Terminal fee:** ₱150 at Caticlan, and ₱150 again at Cagban on the way out
- **Environmental fee:** ₱300 for foreign visitors, ₱150 for Filipino visitors, once per stay
- **Boat fare:** ₱50 each way

They can be paid in advance through **Boracay iPass**, the Province of Aklan's online system, which issues a QR code for the jetty. Children aged five and under are exempt from the terminal pass, with proof of age uploaded.

What the flight itself cost on real dates:
- **AirAsia**, Manila to Caticlan on 12Go for 7 October 2026: from ₱2,561 one way on the 05:45, and ₱2,902 to ₱3,185 on the 12:35
- **Philippine Airlines**, on its own site: ₱4,873 return for 9 and 10 December 2026, and ₱4,990 for 24 to 26 November, with taxes and fees included

## Manila to Boracay by bus and ferry

Two ways get you to Boracay without a flight, and both take the night.

**The bus from Antipolo.** RRCG Transport runs a First Class bus from the terminal at Robinsons Antipolo, east of Manila, to Caticlan jetty port. For 7 October 2026 it left at 08:30 and was due at the jetty at 05:30 the next morning, twenty-one hours later, with a boat to Cagban on Boracay at 07:00. 12Go sold the whole trip for ₱1,828. The ferry crossing on the way is not in the bus ticket: RRCG's staff collect it on board, so carry cash. One medium bag of up to 20 kg goes in the hold, and the voucher has to be printed. Articles from the 2024 launch give an 11:00 departure and ₱2,400 including the ferry; that timetable is older.

**The night boat from Batangas.** Take a bus two hours south to Batangas Port, then an overnight ferry to Caticlan jetty port. For 7 October 2026, Starlite Ferries sailed at 19:30, due at 05:30, and at 07:30, due at 17:30, from ₱2,477. 2GO sailed at 21:00 from Batangas Terminal 2, due at 08:00, at ₱2,914 in its Super Value class. Lite Shipping added MV Lite Ferry Twenty on the route in August 2026, and its own booking system sold the Caticlan to Batangas sailing at 18:00 for 7 October, twelve hours, from ₱2,277 for a bunk. The boats save a night's hotel and carry cars.

Either way, the three jetty charges above still apply at Caticlan.

## Clark to Caticlan flights

The March 2026 move of turboprop flights from NAIA to Clark did not include Caticlan, which is still served from Manila.

Clark is an option in its own right, though. **Sunlight Air** flies Clark to Caticlan and tells Manila passengers to book Clark, and Philippine Airlines also sells a Clark to Caticlan route. For anyone living or staying north of Metro Manila, starting at Clark can take the traffic to NAIA out of the day entirely.

### Are there direct flights from Manila to Boracay?

Not to the island itself, which has no airport. Philippine Airlines, AirAsia and Cebu Pacific fly nonstop from Manila to Caticlan, and from there the boat to Boracay takes ten to fifteen minutes.
